Clipping Wings / Nails ???

So this is my first time raising chickens, they are 6 weeks old, been out in their coop for a little over a week now they free range and I have heard you should clip your chickens wings. I feel like id rather clip their nails bc they are becoming very sharp. Can i even clip them? should i do both? Anyone please help me with this. Thanks!

Hi! You shouldn't clip their wings unless you really need to, and you won't need to clip their nails, as they will stay at a good length if they are scratching around outside.

The main reason you would need to clip their wings would be if they were flying over fences and escaping.
