It rained all day today. I came home and visited for a while with my mother in law. Finally I went to check on mama hen and her 3 babies. I only saw two, I even lifted up mama and shook her around thinking the baby would "fall out." Nothing.... They are in a tractor style coop where they can go in or out. There is about a 3 inch ledge. The baby got out, got wet, and apparently could not get back in. I looked carefully and it appeared kinda smashed and dead in the grass. I climbed in and when I picked it up it peeped!! It was cold and barely moving. I ran inside and grabbed my blow dryer and began to warm it up. We put it under a heat lamp and brought in its sibling for a bit. After about an hour it was feeling much better. Nothing is better than snuggling with mama, so I put her back. She was running around within 2 hours, it was quite amazing!!! I love a happy ending!!
