Those are all great breeds

Yeah, I quite like them all. Whenever I want to get another breed I always end up thinking I should just focus more on the ones I have. I like keeping heritage breeds, rare and rare varieties in particular.
Sussex are a little addictive because one day I want all the colours Maybe even do some project colours too.

There are a few breeds I'm focusing more on, but I also love having a big variety

I want some susex and silkies. But i have to many as it is. Chicken math is real.. im only suppose to have 8..

Last few days there's been heaps of amazing cactus flowers

A recent pic of Hazel's bubba! He hasn't really ended up with a name

And on top of have a Nosey chicken, I now have a stalker! This is Goat, he comes out of the chicken paddock and peaks in the windows and doors...

The cactus flower is beautiful!

Maybe you should just keep his name as Bubba? Seems to fit...

I have a rooster that’s the same way, I can’t find a name that seems to fit him. For now he’s called Stanislaus but it doesn’t quite go…

This thread seems to have been deserted so I hope I’m not breaking a BYC rule in “bumping” a thread…? I just don’t have a designated thread for my hens so I have to use someone’s chat thread to share!
Lyd went to the optometrist and got glasses today (so did Rose but I don’t have a picture of her). The glasses came from Murray McMurray and cost $7 total. I put them on without the pliers because I was too afraid of poking her eye. After a few attempts I got them on and immediately gave each hen a helping of their favorite food. They quickly forgot about their specs and seem to be doing well. They have to stay inside because of the snow so the peepers will hopefully minimize their ability to bully Minna.
