There's the silver lining we needed!

Well, Mary, despite the lack of baking bread, you still have a beautiful piece of property !

It's supposed to rain again soon and I need to get my Berkeley house fumigated/tented ... contractor found termites near one of the upstairs windows - ugh ... fortunately, the foundation is OK and clear of any bugs.

Well ladies the good news is that we had the roofer come by yesterday who did the repairs for the bank before we bought the house. He thinks it is all due to there being no caulk around the dormer windows! He predicts that $50 worth of silicone will fix it.

Clio that tenting and fumigating sounds like a real party!

Oh wow, fun updates!!!

I'm in a similar situation, we bought a somewhat distressed property, basically *no* info on it, so it's all been trial and error. Seems like something always comes up too....

I absolutely love the donkeys, and so, so sweet that they love eachother!

Let's see pictures of the inside!!!!!!

Glad ur flood is easily fixed. We had one into garage and mancave soon after moving in also. The A/c needed cleaning. U would have thought the inspector would have told us that huh? We were lucky and our Homeowners warranty covered all damage and repairs. Everything is looking really nice.

I just read the entire thread....couldn't stop myself in spite of the boys saying "Come ON, Momma!" (promised to take them to town.) I understand all the jealousy over the new digs for all but I'm jealous of the closeness of chicken friends. How I would love to have someone from BYC within an hour or two to meet for coffee and to visit and swap eggs and chicks! I live in rural Alabama (was ROFL

at the redneck U-Haul!) We have an Auburn here, too and they have a football team you may have heard of.....

Feeling sad to have no chickeny friends close by (BUT I feel that I now know some nice people in California.) Congrats and don't worry about the temporary problems. they're just growing pains!

Is there any way to figure the cost of airfare using chicken math? Today was cleaning day at the coop. Scrape, rake, fluff, scrub, refill and shower. The guineas screamed all day (gave me a headache!) But a scoop of scratch just before roost time and all was calm again. Ah, life on the farm..........
