Cluckawalla Valley has moved! TAKE THE QUIZ, PG 23!

Well it has been storming all night and the homestead is taking on water.

The garage is flooding:

The front patio is flooded:

Water is leaking through the dining room window:

I had planned to bake bread today but my pans are all in use!

We are on our own and this sale was an as-is foreclosure sale. Michael had already made good headway on the garage and patio problem and just cut a hole in the wall to survey where the leak in the dining room is coming from.

Today is Michael's birthday and he has spent it soaking wet trying to dam the waters. We'll call someone out experienced in metal roofing and get a professional opinion about the leak at the window. The others are just drainage issues and the slope of the property. We already knew about those and have some options in mind. Crazy!

Gee I hope this is the ONLY surprise the new homestead has on tap for you. Maybe it was an early 'trick' for Halloween. I thought it never rains in California. Oh wait, mud slides right??

get a fire rolling, wine and have a warm cozy evening

The wood stove had been going all day, we're tee-totalers, and we can't get too cozy because someone has to go in every 30 minutes and empty the water out of the loaf pans!
