Cochin Bantam, roo vs. hen?

I am *hopefully* getting this pair from my mother soon, and hopefully they are actually a pair! The first pic I KNOW is a roo, he's crowed in my arms, danced at the massive barred rock roo that was wandering the yard when I put him in his run, and is overall very dominant. The second one I have no clue. I personally believe and hope its a young hen, they're almost ready to lay. The comb and waddle are smaller than the roo's and much smaller than the other bantam roo's that my mother has. BUT, they're still larger and much redder than the FOR SURE hen that my mother has, picture three. (My poor mom got eight bantam cochins- only that one was for sure a hen.) I grabbed a pic of the roo and possible hen side by side, they don't have saddle feathers like I'm used to (or at all? My first time with cochins!) so I can't get them that way. Please help! The rest of their bodies are IDENTICAL. Sorry if the pics aren't good, I can try to get better ones!

Looks like you are getting a pair of cockerels.

You can't compare comb and waddle size of rooster to cockerels.

What is the age on the birds you are trying to gender assess?

They're both about four months, they were hatched same day.
