Cochin Bantams and Frizzle Cochin Bantams!!

For some dumb reason I pictured the hatchery breeder pens as a LOT different than I see on the internet. [Some of the hatcherys post pics of their breeders.]
Looks like a big confusion of roosters and hens, Some look to have waaaaaay too many roosters, I suppose to insure fertility.
But when you look close you can see lots of birds you sure wouldn't want chicks from and certainly not some of the pairings that will be had from there.
So long story short I think that what jajeanpierre
says about them breeding frizzle to frizzle or even frazzles is very likely correct.
Beware of hatchery chicks.
There is NO selective breeding goin on there. [except by the chickens!]

Here's my Nancy and Roslyn babies!

I just acquired what I believe is a black frizzle bantam Cochin. Admittedly, I'm a complete noob in regard to this breed, but I hear that they are excellent mothers and often go broody and I would like to experiment with teaching her to hatch and brood my quail eggs as I've seen others do.

I have 8 other "real" hens and my coop is about 3 feet off the ground with a long ramp. I'm wondering if this will be suitable for my new little lady, or if she needs to have something closer to the ground? Also, the coop has 3 regular sized nest boxes and one that's about 11" deep by 10" wide. Is nest box size something that makes a difference to them?

Here is a picture of my coop:

To all you experienced BFBC (?) owners, does this coop seem unsuitable for the little lady? I do have a bantam buff Orp that has no problem, but this little BFBC hen is almost half her size

That coop should be fine, Cochins can climb good and also fly when motivated. And they will set in any kind of nest, I prefer bigger...that way they are not as likely to be so crowded.
Your coo is very nice looking. No yard fro them? We have too many owls and hawks and possums, racoons and coyotes here!

Oh PS I didn't mean bigger nests than you have...I meant bigger as compared to smaller nests in general.
BUT my Silkies need small nests cause they seem to "lose" eggs if the nest is real big.

I have about a 2500 sq ft yard that all my birds free range in. We live in a typical city neighborhood, so the wild predators seem to be few if any. I haven't seen any possums, or raccoons and our neighboorhood has a lot of mockingbirds that are very territorial and seem to drive away hawks and birds of prey. I also have a dog that hangs out with them and keeps watch.

This is she... What do you think? Frizzle cochin?

Here are a couple pics of my cochin. They are about 3-4months old. Do you think they will get more spotty or this is about it?
