How did you get the feathers dry? I want to wash mine and also heard you should put white vinegar in the water to make their feathers extra shiny.

Yes you can put vinegar in. Pat/squeeze dry with a towel then Blow dryer on lo setting. I keep my hand near the heat to make sure they don't get too hot. They really actually seem to enjoy the pampering. It is kind of surprising.

Birds is correct, not all enjoy it. I think ones that have had a lot of handling previously are probably more likely to enjoy it than a wilder bird. General personality plays into it as well.

Thanks I know they bath themselves twice or so a day but it has been raining like crazy and no dry sky for days. They are spoiled by hanging out with the dogs and I untill the sun pop's out and out they go for a few hours.
I did however notice after my black frizzle was on my leg a sort of dander left does it mean dry skin not mites I am pretty sure but leaves a good amount?

Most likely dander. You can kind of push up the feathers backward and look close to the skin in a few places and if there are mites you will find some running around.

And mites can move really fast when you are looking so you can also try blowing on the feathers so they have less time to run away while you look.
