Cochin Bantams and Frizzle Cochin Bantams!!

They look pretty big

. Are they always that big? Also, what kind of color is this Pekin bantam?: It looks like a lighter blue.

They are not big at all--fluffy but not big. Yes, they are bantams. The blue you sent the picture of is a very pretty color. Blues can be light or dark and I don't know if one is more correct than the other. I'm just new to chickens and exhibiting (my first show in a week). I do know that some blues can be so dark they are almost black, and it is hard to see their lacing when they get so dark. The cockerels have that black over their hackles and saddles--they always look darker.

Goth bantamsXD. I like light colors, light brown, light gray, light white, light blue, but I also like black....And red.

As promised, my two new blue bantam Cochins from Jamie Matts. They have been traveling for two days through the mail, and I took the pictures just two hours after I got them home. There was a big scarlet macaw making a lot of noise on their left and a pit bull to their right--so they were understandably a little excited. They are a nicer color--a clearer blue--than the pictures suggest. Not the best pictures--dirty birds right out of the shipping box--but here they are. I'm very happy with them.

Consider me jealous! A beautiful pair of blue cochins and a scarlet macaw (I would like to get a B&G one day). I really like the pullet

I agree, a very beautiful pullet. I wish someone would take a picture of them holding them so I could see the size and fluff

. Pekin bantams will most likely be my LIFE. I even considered sharing my daily lunch with themXD.

I really like a light blue color. How serious a fault is mossiness coupled with not very distinct lacing in the feathering of a blue? I'm going to get breeding this blue/black/splash color down pat--I'm working on it in two breeds, LF Ameraucanas and my new bantam Cochins.

I don't exactly know the answer to your question. But to me personally, lacing is extremely important. It makes a more elegant looking bird IMO. I am one who likes dark blue with really good lacing. I think it is really hard to find light ones with good lacing.Of course when I am talking about this, it all is coming from my ameraucana taste, as I don't breed BBS cochins.
