You need to read the actual description of Lemon Blue from the APA / ABA color description that is accurate breed doesn't matter when the color and pattern and are defined. I have never seen a lemon Blue in Cochin they appear to be Blue and Buff and all wrong based on the color standard.
Lemon Blue is Lemon Blue regardless of breed.

Lemon Blue is Brown Red x Blue. Marty McGuire had some of the best Bantam LB's, and sold most, if not all, of his to fellow BYC member candiss. There is a BYC Lemon Blue Cochin thread, and you can find a lot of pics of her birds there.

That's the thing... Most birds that are called Lemon Blue Cochin dont meet the phenotype standard...

I will say with Cochins, the blue should have lacing, I think the standard calls more for a slate blue rather than a powdery blue that most people tend to like. Marty is an expert with the color and worked extremly hard to get them to what they are.. Alot of people breed the blue to buff to create what is called a lemon blue but it is not acurate and they do not breed true. As stated previously, you have to breed a brown red and blue together and work with that.

Andalusion blue requires lacing regardless of breed, that is well documented within the color standard. lavendar / self blue is not laced.
You should note that Blue, lemon Blue, Silver Blue, Blue Partridge and several other "Blue" Varieties are based on andalusion blue. However there are well documented color standards that should be adhered to regardless of breed, bantam, or large fowl.

I have some lemon blues hatched from egg I got from Candiss. These guys hatched in the middle of May they are 3 months old in these pics

I am referencing the lacing because of the previous post where someone posted that the bird in the second picture was one of the best representative of the LB color they have seen, it does not have good lacing and has white feathering on the feet. I prefer a medium color blue. I have a few modern game and they are darker lemon blue than what I am breeding for in my cochins.
