Cochin Thread!!!

My experience has been usually around 5 - 6 months. Shouldn't make any difference if they're frizzle.

(If they hit that age in the middle of winter, you can probably expect a longer delay, or very sporatic laying.)

I have to agree with Coopa. She stated it very well. It's hard to hear negative things about our birds, but Tom is giving constructive criticism. I value his opinion and think many of us on this Cochin thread do. I am learning quite a bit from him here on this thread. I appreciate the time he takes to educate us, and hope he continues to do so. If you read his post, he said his birds weren't perfect either. He pointed out all the defects in his birds also. This is how we learn. I love all of my birds. They're not perfect, and some of them are better than others. But just because they have faults, doesn't make me like them any less. It's a work in progress if you're breeding toward the standard. Believe me, I've bought my share of birds thinking they were the best, only to find out they weren't. But I learned from it, and have tried to educate myself so I don't make that mistake again. I thank Tom for taking the time to post pics of his birds, and for trying to educate us just a little.
