Cochin Thread!!!

Well, I tried to post on your thread Mike, and it won't let me. It tells me to put something in the reply box before submitting. Anyway, this is what I was trying to say:

Beautiful photos of beautiful chickens, Mike! Just gorgeous!
That picture of Chess especially, it looks like it needs a frame!

It won't let me quote anything. I only can post if I hit preview. That's only sometimes. I tried to make a new profile but I can't because I use the same email as my other 1. Uggh. I can't post in hardly anything. It tells me I have to put something in the reply box.:(

Hi CluckyChick,

This was probably a cross between a Buff Columbian male & Regular Columbian female. To keep the pattern use a Buff Columbian male. If you can find one, use a buff male that has white in his underfluff.

Hope this helps. Russell

Totally disagree. I don't know what they are but If you breed a Buff Columbian male with Columbian hen you get Buff Columbian pullets with a few white feathers and males that have no value for breeding either variety. How Tom and Matt developed Buff Columbian cochins and wyandottes.

He'll be 6 months soon
He's loving the crisp autumn air.

Can't you change your email on this account to a secondary email, and then create a new profile with your main email?

Anyone going to be at the FOWL FEST in Birch Run, Michigan this Sat/Sun with their cochins to sell or show? I am hoping to find some nice mottled bantam cochins to buy but I am trying to not get my hopes up.
