I went out and took some more pics of my babies tonight. I forgot how fast they grow!

These babies are buff. I noticed some differation of the buff coloring in some of the chicks. Some are light, while others are a richer, gold color. Ideally, in buff, what shade of buff do you want?
 
i agree with craig... a GOOD columbian would help with type, then breeding successive generations back to each other will help with color IMO...
breeding columbian (Co/Co) to silver laced (Pg/Pg Ml/Ml Co/Co) will give you all pure Co/Co based birds and from there it's a matter of getting the other 2 mutations back homozygous.

this might help too, as it shows the different variations of Pg and Ml on Co/Co.
I want to learn the "language" of genetics. Is there a good book that will explain it?
