I want to learn the "language" of genetics. Is there a good book that will explain it?i agree with craig... a GOOD columbian would help with type, then breeding successive generations back to each other will help with color IMO...
breeding columbian (Co/Co) to silver laced (Pg/Pg Ml/Ml Co/Co) will give you all pure Co/Co based birds and from there it's a matter of getting the other 2 mutations back homozygous.
this might help too, as it shows the different variations of Pg and Ml on Co/Co.
