Cochin Thread!!!

I am just getting into having bantam cochins. I have one mottled cochin pullet that has a black comb. is that frowned upon?
She is on the left in the picture.
A Black Comb is not good. Combs often change color to red as the bird ages. Different sexes, strains, and varieties change at different ages so all I can council is patience until others of the same sex and hatched at the same time have changed to red and this one does not.

Any suggestions as to what I should add to my cochins' food if I am hoping to condition them for showing? I've got coupons for 13 free bags of Purina Layena plus Omega-3 food, so I'd like to feed that but wondered if there should be something else I add to their water or food to get them nice and conditioned?
