Neighbors behind us have dogs that bark every time the wind blows so I think my girls will be ok!

We have chickens and kids, lol I guess it's a good thing we have just under 18 acres too... No one too close!

How loud are everyone's hens? I've got 2 month old americauna's (2), barred rock, & Cochin. Now we have one month old silkies (2), barred rock, & Cochin. I have a friend that swears his hens are loud & make tons of noise. We live in town & thought the hens would be quiet. I think he could just be exaggerating. We have sirens & tons of other noises is I'm sure they won't bother the neighbors if they do cackle!!

My Cochin girls are the loudest of all my birds. I'm not really sure if it's because I spoiled them when they were younger, but every time I go out to the coop they protest until I open the coop door for them. For some reason they like to sit and watch me with the door open. It can't be closed or else they will throw a fit. They sure are demanding things.
