Thanks, I have often been in a position to wish for education in others about the breeds and things I am into so I Do " get" it..lol these are such precious little puddings to me...anything I see on here basically I am still in the ewwww and ahhhhh stage... I know the more " educated" I become, the more it just becomes the EWWWWWW and yuck stage when you see the ones that look a bit "muddled". hahahahahahahahaha. With the education comes the loss of appreciation for any thing other than how it " should be" lol my poor little ones are so adorable still I almost hate to educate myself until I " see" all their flaws... I'm already getting REALLY critical about their little cushions, and stances...the more I read...the uglier the little darlin's are gonna get![]()
I still love my little starter flock of four. Even though they have no potential for breeding they are invaluable as incubators. One of them looks more like an australorp but she is a sweetheart and a great broody.
If we ever have stable electricity then one day i will buy an incubator.
But until then those four hatch out over 60 birds last season, and helped me tie down the genetics of my rooster in test breedings. As well as giving me great tasting eggs

lol, I am a partridge breeder and have hatched over 60 birds. Only two of those were partridge, but putting in the test breedings has helped me map the genetics of my breeding partridges so it's all been worthwhile!
