That little guy is a black mottle. His father was exactly the same color at that age. More white comes in as they get older. Quite a change in the mottled in baby feather to adult color.

Thank you to those of you who referred me to Lynne. This morning I received a beautiful 7 month old cockeral from her! He is happy, healthy and oh so gorgeous!! More pictures to follow!!!
