Hi everyone, so I went out and got five more LF Cochins this afternoon, this time from a breeder who keeps to standards and shows his birds, rather than hatchery stock like previous birds of mine, and I must say that the difference is astounding. They are only four weeks old so I can't be sure how they will turn out, but the parent stock was truly impressive. Now that I have seen in person how a properly bred Cochin looks I don't think that I'll ever stray from keeping CochinsDefinitely worth looking for properly bred birds over hatchery and I paid less for these than the others so it's not even necessarily more expensive.![]()
The five I added today are: two white, two blackish, though there are white streaks in them, not barred though, looks suite interesting, and one lavender. Love the lavender, the colour just looks so soft that they look even fluffier and softer
