I believe the proper pronounciation is "fuzz-butt"! LOL

I say co-shin (with a long, or hard 'o')and (shin - like your ankle).

Probably depends on what part of the country or state you live in.

Lol thanks!

I've loved seeing everyone's pictures, some really nice birds here!

I am interested in SQ large barred and mottled Cochins, does anyone have any of these?

beautiful birds everyone!!

question- with the mottleds, do they get more mottling with molting/age (like d'uccles)? my rooster is OK, not a lot of mottling at about 9 months old, but i have the opportunity for a much more mottled roo around the same age, wondering if its worth switching roos, as my hens are not super mottled either. both roosters type is just OK.

humm i was sure they did! thank you, still pondering what to do, because the roos are the same age but one is MUCH more mottled than the other, which i beleave is more desirable, and with my less mottled hen hes probably a better choice for breeding.

can you post pics of the ones you have. If you want more mottling then use the whiter roo over the hen. you should be looking for about one in 3 feathers to be tipped with white in a v-shape.

Got some new photos!
