Last winter my friend and I rescued this little buff hen. She had been bullied by too many roosters and had a lot of feathers missing. Despite her condition and the fact that it was November, she still was laying a little egg for me every day. We named her Grace~
A few weeks ago, the coop she was in had the roof blown off and it poured down rain for hours on the birds in there. A few got pretty sick, including Grace but she's bounced back and again, laying. She's a pretty tough little girl!
