Did you find a new 'boyfriend' for them? Wasn't it the Buff rooster who died?

Haven't seen you here in a while. Do you have any bantam cochins coming up for sale soon?

Didn't you get some Milles from Nancy Krohn? Did you hear she's selling her farm and liquidating her entire sheep and chicken flocks? So sad.....

Yeah, I totally understand needing to trim.
None of my white hens I bought a few months ago has given me a fertile egg. I hope it is just too much fluff as I have never had trouble with it before in my own fluffy butts. And the new girls soil themselves more than my original flock. All that fluff does have it drawbacks!

I know my boys can do the job since I have raised chicks from them so snippy snippy on them all. And the mites and lice have been horrid this year so far. It just keeps raining, not that I should complain about that! Just little buggers!

So while trimming I am inspecting and treating.

Cowboy is clean as a whistle though! He didn't have anything on him when I checked him over along with all his ladies. He is a very sweet and handsome roo. Gave me no lip (or should I say beak?) what so ever about turning him this way and that. Probably wore out from trying to keep his girls in line.

Well, I am still looking for some show quality black bantam cochin pullets or hens. Older breeders would be fine, too. I want to put them with my old rooster before he goes to that big roost in the sky! He's no spring chicken. I sure would like to get some chicks out of him.

My sister had him for a few years, and she never got any chicks out of him. She never trimmed any butts, so she never got any fertile eggs. At this point, I am just hoping the problem was too much fluff and not a sterile rooster.

Thought I might share pics of my little mottled pullet, Oreo, she's about 9ish weeks old...took these this morning. Critiques are welcome...

And my sweet lil boy, Rizz...he's about 3 months old, give or take a day or two. LOL I just adore him, even my non chickie hubby, says he's too cute for his own darn good....little feather duster gliding across the yard.

I had been told Cochin roosters do a 'mating dance' when they are trying to attract the girls, but I didn't know hens did it too! If so, I've got something to look forward to.

Did you forget to get them some Cabezio's? (size 0 for bantams; 0.5 for LF)
