Charlie, they have grown up so terrific! They were just little kids when they flew down to you and now look at them!
You are a whiz at raising up some beauties there! I suppose I had a tiny bit to do with it but you sure made them fill out and look gorgeous. I just breed what I like and that is it right there. Beautiful basketballs! Love their names, too!
Amy, thank you for the kind words. But I think you have it backwards, Your the whiz and I had a tiny bit to do with it. Its so hard to get a good picture of Maggie, she is either in my lap, on my shoulder or crawling up my arm. I love her she is the sweetest. Thanks again.

NO!, I wanted to have this little one for my son. The bantam Brahmas I got for him are little pyrahnas. Or pitbulls...they nail you and hold on.

No fair guys! I live in town and can only have a couple of chickens. So many beautiful Cochin pictures posted here the last few days, how to narrow it down?
Charlie, did you get these from Amy as eggs, chicks or young birds?

What a pretty boy!
I have a Partridge rooster that is my most tame bird - Red Rudy, a real sweetie,
I would like to know what is a good ratio of red to black in the roos? I have a couple of hens with good lacing and have about 12 of their chicks of various ages that i am impatiently watching grow.
My wife and I went to a chicken swap a couple weekends ago. There was only 3 farmers there with various types of chickens and other fowl. We came home with a rooster and 2 hen bantam buff cochins. I don't know how old they are, and we have only gotten one egg from them in two weeks, but they the most laid back birds I ever saw. And cute too. Here is a picture of the roo and one of the hens.

They might be "off" the egg production because of the move to a new home. I have noticed that when I bring "new" birds home.
My DH loves my buffs so much that they are now his.

That is good to know. I was hoping they weren't getting too old. I didn't see any gray around the muzzle though.
I can see why your DH likes them so much. My wife picked them out, but I have to say I really like them. Thanks, mjgigax, maybe I'll even get some eggs to hatch later.
