Cochin Thread!!!

Any know what color I should call this chick? She is a cochinX, about 3 months old, and I think 1/2 bantam. I bought her (along with a BO, and 2 Jersy Giant pullets) from a fellow BYC'er at a swap about 2 weeks ago. He said he got a bunch of eggs from a friend that wasn't sure what breed(s) they where. Almost all of them had feather legs, some looked like BLRW/cochin and silkie/cochin.

OH that is just too funny watching her try to figure out how to get them under her! Are these "first" eggs for her and your others and she's already broody?? That's a Cochin for you! My young pullet hasn't even laid any eggs yet and she's broody

Honey Mustard, our bantam cochin. She's a great lizard-hunter but suprisingly the LEAST friendly of our chickens. If you don't have a handful of treats you're just not worthy of her time.

anyone want some eye candy and also a start to a blue mille fleur project birds. I have WAY too many and want them to go to nice homes. My babies are growing up too fast and I'm running out of room here. prices are negotiable to the right home and shipping is available

My funny little bantam cochin BeeBoop, still trying to figure out his color! He looks mostly birchen, but has some brown tipping to his wings and a few golden feathers on his back. He is such a sweet little guy.

Also wondering what color this little one is, is it just a really light blue? I have two others just like it

I lost my mottled cochin rooster last night and have decided to sell all of my mottled cochins.

1 black mottled cockerel
3 blue mottled girls (2 pullets, 1 hen)
5 black mottled hens, 1 black mottled pullet

3 hens are show quality (2 black, 1 blue)....the other hens its a toss up. All will be shown at TN Valley Fair 9/9 to 9/17 and for sale immediately thereafter.

I do not ship, but willing to meet within reason, for cost of gas and with prepayment. Pictures available of all (eventually, I dont have pix of all now).

In East Tennessee near Knoxville.

I am NPIP. I also have 8 young birds. 3 pullets, 5 cockerels. They are about 8-10 weeks old. Cute little dudes and dudettes.
