Cochin Thread!!!

Craig, do you have the info on the Crele? Do you remember if there were any pullets or hens of that color?

She has a very nice start on that Crele, any idea how she got him? How many generations she's into it?
Was it 37 Cochins???!!!! ARGH!!!!

No way could I do that. I had enough difficulty with the few that I took to Crossroads and the National.

I only took 15 Cochins and that was as much work as I wanted to do.

Forgot I took these pics. This is my Splash pullet that I will be using to breed over Black to try and get some really nice Blues. I really like this bird for some reason, her type isnt amazing but it is decent, and her color is to die for. She actually just started laying last week and I am getting an egg every other day or so, so now I need to find her a nice Black Frizzle male.

I think she is pretty. Of course I look for the characteristics that I feel I need to breed into my flock. But I am a relative newby here.

This too is probably an obvious question but does she have the lace gene?​

Idk, she was bough as a chick from someone, not sure what she came from or anything, just know she came from a frizzle and smooth mating. Guess we will see when I find a Black Frizzle male, with her color I should get some nice Blues.
