Cochin Thread!!!

Just figured I would post some pictures of my Cochins, they're 8 months old now. My cockerel never crows. I've only heard him crow once, but he's got no problems mating my the mixed breed girls. They just love him! I'm still waiting for my Cochin girls to start laying

I do not always agree with everyone but that is what makes this forum so interesting. I know there are some that are purposely cruel, others that are full of bull or think they know it all (not speaking of this specific thread) and others that are superbly helpful. As someone mentioned, consider the source.
I do hope that no one is making trouble publicly or privately. I have been stalked on here before and I have had hateful comments slung my way. I certainly let the moderators deal with those folks. And if someone disagrees with me then I am willing to read what they have to say but I do not have to change my mind if I do not agree.
I must admit it can sometimes get difficult and right now it can be stressful. I hope you return soon, Casey. I enjoy your birds and your ideas!

With all the Christmas plans and work and chores, I've missed being here on the thread~ I missed you all! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas~
I am so happy to finally get life back to normal, looking forward to a new year, new hatches, dreaming of all the beautiful cochin babies. My incubator is full, some due to start hatching in a few days. My calicos, mottled and brown reds have been laying pretty steady.
So far the weather has been nice, temperatures today in the 50's, could do without all this rain and mud but at least it's better than ice.

I read back a few pages and was troubled to read that Casey; (Mr Ree) has left the thread. I hope we can talk him back into joining us, I love pictures of his beautiful birds. Maybe we should all email him and ask him back

As I said on here before, I am sooooo thankful for the knowledge, support and help that I get from everyone on here and I love seeing everyone's birds and sharing mine too!
We are all on here because we love our beautiful cochins

Happy New Year everyone, I hope everyone all the best in the New Year with happy, healthy cochins and lots of beautiful pictures to share with us

And isn't that so retarded that they are doing that but the 125 watt heat lamps will still be available and so will 75 watt? I suppose those will be gone before long.

I do have a cabinet stocked full of 100s right now but lately they have been burning out like mad. Kinda strange.
I put a 75 watt in as one replacement to see if it lasts as long as the other 100 that I changed out. The fixtures were for 250 watt bulbs but I do not use that much heat.
