Cochin Thread!!!

Still so upset!! I lost one of my Splash Cochin Bantam hens I bought from "fattie"!! She was the best looking one too! UGh so frustrating!!!! Last weekend we had a bunch of snow and the next morning I found her smooshed in the coop. Poor darling! When I get them in their own coop I will get some more Splashes from "fattie". Just had to rant a little. All that money down the drain! UGH!!

Sorry, forgot to add pics of my Red frizzle male. I have forgotten to take pics many times, and today he looked really nice fresh out of his moult. As you can see, he isnt exactly what you would call a great example of a frizzle Cochin, but its a start in the right direction with my Red project.

The lack of leg and foot feathering on the male is not good. Please read the Breed standard. If you don't have a copy go to the Cochin International website and click on the heading Breed Standards at the top of the page. You can then make an informed decision for yourself.
