Cochin Thread!!!

I have a question. How do I watermqrk my pictures?

Craig

This is the site I use when I watermark. It's a free download, and easy to use once you get the hang of it. You can pick the font, color, size of your watermark, as well as exactly where on the photo you want to place the mark.
A couple of pointers:
1) always watermark across your picture - watermarks on edges of pictures can always be cropped off.
2) keep an original of your photo with no watermark
3) this program allows you to watermark multiple photos at once if they are all in the same folder. I set up a separate folder on my computer, then copied (not moved) photos I wanted to mark to the watermark folder. Then you can watermark all the pics in the folder.

Hope that helps!

y'all (yes, I am from MS) I am pretty excited. driving to the south part of the state tomorrow and picking up some new birds. all bantam, a pair of blue, pair of buff and a trio of Mille! already have a barred pair and a black hen. so any breeding suggestions would be appreciated . also getting a blue hen, full size and a partridge rooster. have a blue rooster (Jabba) and splash hen. my wife started this and now we are diving in. so folks tell me what we can get other than just straight color to color. we want to have fun and bring something to this part of the country that is new. have a blast here in God's country.

the mille, and buff i'd say keep separated, the blue/black/splash (as long as the blue isn't self blue/lavender) can all go together. no clue about partridge.

my mille roo, since i don't have a girl for him yet, will be getting 2 girls of his own 'temporarily' once my breeding pens are done. they are my bantam RIR and a silver duckwing oegb. LOL at least it keeps him (and them) out of trouble, and i'll be able to find their eggs (they are notorious for hiding eggs somewhere on my 26 acres, and i have yet to find any). and no, the eggs will not be incubated... i've had enough of mutt babies.

I posted pictures of Beakman before, but I never got any critiques. So, I would like to ask again.
I got Beakman and his hatch mate, Lester, as day olds in June of last year. I have kept them both
knowing I was getting into project Mille Fleur breeding. I think they have nice type - not SQ, though,
I guess. They are both a little small, in my opinion, though.

This is Beakman.
He is alerted, so he's not quite in 'ball' position.

I also wanted to share that Beakman treats me like one of his girls (he has none
right now - he's in the bachelor pad). He will forage for me and cluck at me. He's
flighty, though. If I open the door to catch him he stays a few inches from my hand
and pick things up for me at the same time. What a weirdo.

Good partridge are so scarce that you should only use P on P. Breed lots and cull hard.

I got a pair of Blacks delivered today from Tom. Look really nice and looking forward to hatching eggs from this pair. I had her AI'd before she made it to her new cage.

He looks good. I can't really tell much about his cushion. But overall he looks good. Hopefully the mate you breed him with will beget some larger cochins. Now that you mentioned it~he does look a little cranky in the picture lol

Lucky you!!!! Can you AI 3 hens with one rooster in one shot? How many days a week do you AI? Thats what I am wanting to do. Someone told me they mixed it with water but I wasn't sure if I wanted to follow that advice. Argh I need help. I just switched my original rooster back in with the hens after taking him out for 5 days and putting another rooster in. Every time I go out there I see something different. And of course my 2 best hens went n break now.
