I LOVE Mango and Peach!! not only are those my fave fruits! But they are ADORABLE! my two little boy cochins now are convinced I'm a vending machine.. everytime my hand goes in the brooder they come running peeping and grabbing for watever they think I might have. If my hand is empty they get all quite and walk away and ignore me lol my little spoiled brats

These are my first bantams. I love Cochins, and I love them even more in bantam form!!!

I love my cochins! I started with 1 blue standard pair which is now a trio. I have a trio of mottled cochins. I bought columbian cochin hatching eggs from MSbear last year but they didn't hatch and I have not been able to find any chicks or eggs since. I am still wanting some of those cute little fluff butts:)

This is a 8 week old cochin mix. I am not sure what it is mixed with except blue for certain I have 5 of these and they are adorable!

Some of my bantam Cochins start laying at 5 months, others may wait until 6 months old to start. My standards start around 6 months but I have had them wait until 8 months, too.
My bantams show good promise at 4 months but I have not had many to top out their full mature weight until 18 months. Looking back on my records it appears 16-18 months has always been the heaviest point in their life. That is usually a rest period from first laying and breeding. After that they get really serious into being flock birds and raising the families. Before that they are having fun and games. Some of my girls may chunk up at 2 years old but only for about a month and then they decrease some. Probably the winter feed I put into them then.

My standards can be heavy at a year old and stay fairly heavy through each winter. They are thick feathered birds and the roo is very laid back. They get too hot in the summer and slack off on weight some.

If I cross a lemon Blue cochin roo with Partridge what will I get. Or if I cross the same roo with white cochins, or the same rooster with a black cochin that came from a blue line. What will I get in chicks. I am tring to figure out what hens to keep with the roo and what to let go off.
