When do cochin roos typically start crowing? Our marans roos started at about 5 weeks old. We have 6 nine week old cochins now and one definitely looks rooish compared to the others but no crowing yet.

Wahoo I had a pleasant surprise yesterday when I came in from work. I did not expect this hatch to be successful as day 19 (Black Mottled Cochin Bantams) came and went. Yesterday was day 21, when I checked after work I was greeted with cheep cheep. One little soul hatched, I did hear briefly another cheeping from inside an egg but as the 22 day dawns there is still just the one chick out of 8 eggs. I'll be picking up a mirror and fluffy for this little one today.
