Cochin Thread!!!

I have a question on frizzles, are they as cold hardy as the normal Cochins?I have a big coop to fill!

mine do fine in our harsh Wisconsin winters, I don't really notice a difference between them and the normal feathered cochins as far as not being acclimated, they go outside most days it isn't snowing or blowing too much.

Duane Urch/Turnland has Buff bantam Cochin eggs available. He has eggs avialable right now.

Thank you for the info! I will try to remember that next year when I go hunting for more cochins. I may add bantams to my coop but I want to wait until I have a hatch here of my LF, crossing my fingers!

Anyone selling lavender Cochins or any other color...eggs or chicks doesn't matter to me. The color doesn't matter either

Black Bantam Cochin Cockerel. From a mottled pen. He should show more mottling as he molts. This cockerel has very nice type with wonderful foot feathering and the so desired green sheen. He should be an excellent breeding individual when he matures and is already developing nice cushion and wing set.
