Cochin Thread!!!

Beautiful guy! Did you buy him or hatch him yourself?

Thank you! I hatched him, and her too. June 16th, so they are almost 7 months.

She is sporadically laying, but all so far have been yolk-less.

do frizzles have the same cochin personality?

they do if they are Cochin frizzle, other breeds can be frizzled as well.

The Frizzle is a Bantam and yes she is lovely. I am really liking the Cochin personality but I do personally think I like the LF better for what its worth. I actually think I will look for some LF Frizzle Cochin in the future.

As far as double yolks in the 5.5 years I have had Chickens I have only had 2 double yolk eggs.

Out cleaning the coop before the cold snap hits. Couldn't help but snap some pics. My little SL bantam cochin has began laying. Having a hard time, staying away from the incubator. My mottled are growing up fast also.
