You just happened to have the wrong breed of duck. Khaki Campbells are jerks. I keep call ducks with my chickens. Also, I used to have mallards and they do really well.

Jerk is being nice about them.
Doubt I will try ducks again. but thank you for the info maybe one day I might who knows.

A lemon blue splash would be ideal, but a Brown red or splash would work to get some lemon blues.
