Agree it may be splash, just wait and see yet could be wrong.

How do I treat?

I like to dust with Sevin. Dust the coop (after its cleaned out) and the birds. Repeat in a week to get any eggs that hadn't hatched the first go around.

Whoops posted without any text. Here are my two cochins, Lando Cluckrision (blue) and Kylo Hen (partridge). I'm nervous maybe my partridge is a roo...what do you guys think? They're both almost 8 weeks old.

I would say male with the red combination showing that early. I have a male who is trying to crow at 2.75 months. Silly lil bantam wants to sing with my 3 older fellers.

The way paint and splash was explained to me, here's how I remember it... Paint will go all the way down the feather, splash will only be scattered on the feathers. I think of dumping a paint can, as opposed to just splashing from a brush

Did not know this! Hmmm, now I am curious. Guess I will go grab the grumpy butt splash hen I have and investigate. Big LF Cochin with attitude and Stumpys favorite girl. Need to get a pic of her being held. Massive

I should have said that was in relation to silkies, so I dont know if that holds true for cochins or not.
