Cochin Thread!!!

I have one partridge Cochin chick a month old and one coming in May. I just love her awkward shape and late feathers. Her long neck and quiet attitude. So here is Ethel.

Ethel was a mystery box chick. Her feathers right now are all black and white what age do they change to adult feathers? For that matter when will all her teen feathers come in? She is in the brooder with a bunch of bantams and one Egyptian Fayoumi who will top out at 3-4lbs. According to what I've read she will be around 8lbs. It's a good thing she's sweet.

Here are better pictures of our new 2/3 week old Silver Laced Cochins :) We got them a few days ago and the guy said they were almost 3 weeks old. So not sure!

Now those chicks look like my Ethel did. Maybe she isn't a Partridge Cochin after all. Silver laced huh. I'll have to look that up. Maybe with a better feather shot you guys can help me tell?

Ok Ethel is definitely a silver laced cochin not a partridge Cochin. She was in the girl mystery box and has no pink in her comb but late feathering and I just read that can mean boy. Thoughts?

Cochin eggs hatch in 3 days. I'm not expecting great chicks as the Frizzle Cock isn't to impressive. I can't wait to hatch the next group after this! All the females with the black cockerel over them

I am new to the chick owner thing but I have to say I'm loving it. Our flock is 10 weeks old now and growing so fast. In that flock I ordered 1 partridge Cochin pullet however I'm thinking it's a cockerel. Can any of you experienced Cochin owners tell me if this is a cockerel or pullet?

The 1st picture is 7 weeks the last one is 9 weeks.
