My flock grew out to be For Sure 3 cockrels and 1 pullet :barnie

The only pullet is the black smooth feathered bird. The frizzle was first in line for keeps but he tried to flog me today so :confused: still a partridge and a (poor example) gold laced. I guess im telling dh to keep the partridge.

I try to keep all the girls, sell a few here and there. I get a lot of people that want started pullets, so I don't mind raising them to POL, then evaluating ones I can let go, and ones I'd like offspring from.
I usually keep 2 males in each pen, and give away as many extras as possible. I also usually have several running free in the yard, as long as they behave.
