And I have a totally off topic question... Does anyone ese have trouble with eggs sticking to their fuzzy butts???
I occasionally find an egg on the floor f the coop or in the run. I watched my big blue cochin lay her egg one day to se what was going on (what is it they say about a watched pot never boiling? I was feeling it might be the same for a chicken laying...). Anyway, she laid the egg, then hopped out of the box and it dropped off her butt onto the floor! I was glad she wasn't just laying it there. The last two days, though she has had an egg stuck, ad I mean STUCK, to her feathers. Yesterday, I heard the egg song and went looking but couldn't find the egg. As she strolled by, there it was hanging from her behind. I chased her around the run (during which time I fully expected it to drop at any moment) and had to pick the feathers that were glued to the egg. Who knows how long it would've stayed there. Same thing again today.
Any suggestions???
