To be honest, didn't know there was a dwarf gene!! I have never had one this small before. Shoot maybe I could create a new fad, micro chickens, (they do it with everything else anyways)

i know there is a breed mentioned on Feather Site that has 'dwarfism' that can pop up but i am not certain which breed, i don't know if it is in cochins at all.

Here is my one year old GL Cochin hen, Swiffer, "talking" to my daughter.

I only have two Cochins currently (the other is a Silver Laced). My only complaint about them is that these two seem to have a system worked out where they are never both laying at the same time! The SL just started back laying this week after taking a 3 month vacation which started when she molted. The GL stopped laying this week and appears to be trying to molt now. Its a conspiracy I tell you!

I had a "dwarf" bantam cochin pullet very recently. I sold her to a family with kids......along with a bunch of other bantam cochin hens.

Here is a blurry picture that shows her size well. That is a regular size bantam cochin pullet with her.....they were all hatchmates and Point of Lay when these pix were taken.
