A thought for all you cochin people out there thinking about what to order next year

I am trying to decide what I want to focus on this season as far as quantity of what to produce. I have birds to produce the following combinations of colors

Mottled

Blue Mottled

Splash Mottled

Mille Fleur Project

Buff Columbian Project

Blue Buff Columbian Project

Splash Buff Columbian Project

Possible Blue Laced Red Project

these will all be in bantams and I will be selling mainly eggs this year but should have a few started birds to sell

As you can see in my signature, I have two black cochins, one white frizzle, and one silver penciled. The white frizzle is the only rooster.

My question to others is whether it would make sense to just let those 4 be secluded together and raise whatever hatches, or if it would be better to acquire males for matching pairs?
I would be selling most, if not all, the chicks, so what might make the most sense?

He hid in the corner for the next week or so - sometimes they just have to establish their own rank and file. It's been a couple of months now - his comb is all healed, the feathers are growing back in very nicely on the back of his head, and he is back to being the absolute sweetest and friendliest bird I have EVER raised - including all the girls. He holds his own in the coop - no longer shy, and gets along well with everyone.
I hope Louie fairs just as well.
