I don't see anything there, at least not a single comb.

I'm with Mandy on the blue chicks. Have you seen the video on their web site of their blue chicks. Looks close to me.

Yep, but I have blue LF cochin chicks and they look nothing like freebie. I realize the blue's seem to vary quite a bit though.
I think I am going to have to restart my computer to get the rest of the pics to load...darn.

Today was my day off or work so I thought in between the clouds it would be nice to let the birds out in the grass for a bit, and decided to take a few(well, more like 46) pics. They are still dropping feathers like crazy and they are covered in pin feathers throughtout their back and cushion. Really hope they finish soon, I would like some eggs. Hope you guys enjoy. Sorry for so many pics, I got carried away, lol.

They are beautiful, what a handsome couple too. That last photo is almost romantic. Makes me think of The Tramp movie where the two dogs share spaghetti and kiss LOL.

ok, I finally got this photo to load. Sorry it's blurry, I had to try to take the photo by myself and freebie is soo tiny. She barely has feathers coming yet too. Note the white and black, is that barring or mottled? Still thinking cochin or brahma?

In comparison, here is one of my LF blue cochins. Cleary has one short and one longer layer of feathers. Hard to tell in photo though.

My other LF blue is a very light blue in comparison. It has only the one lenght of feathers. : ( Worried this means roo.

Here's one of this year's chicks - product of a splash hen and a black roo.

Now that I have a better roo, looks like I'm gettng better foot feathering and nicer feathers in general.
