Yes, there is such a thing. The brown red is the gold version of the silver birchen. I don't know that ideal has them though. I'd say give it more time and see how they look when it feathers out fully.

I took some new photos yesterday because I have an auction running in the BST area so I thought I would post a few photos here of my Mottled flock. I can't get them all in one photo but this shows how my Cochins live during the summer. Every time I go out to check their nest boxes for eggs I pick the boxes up off the ground and about a 100 crickets come bounding out. The Mottleds go nuts.
By the end of the week they have most of the grass eaten or pushed down so we move the tractor over another 10 feet into more lush grass. I keep the grass watered at the next location so they always have fresh to eat. When it rains they may not have the prettiest eggs from those feathered feet in the nest boxes but I believe my birds are very healthy and happy.

I actually have a couple chicks that look like yours that came with my lemon blues, and I'm thinking mine are going to be brown red, but if yours came from Ideal, I really don't know, since they don't do brown red or lemon blue in large fowl cochin or bantam.

That's what has me confused! Here is the best pic I could get of his wing, you can see they have brown tips to the wings (alot darker, flashed washed it out a bit)
