Cochin Coop has birds in a couple of colors you are looking for, but I don't know about eggs. I'm guessing you would be hard pressed to get all those colors from one breeder - too diverse. The reason for few eggs for sale is the temperature - still too hot to ship. You DO want bantams, right? You said "standard bantam." Standards would be the big-uns.

And for Lemon Blues, I would contact BYC member Candiss. Hers are among the best, and she frequently sells/auctions eggs on BYC. Although I'm not sure what she has available right now.

You can check out who has what in the BYC Cochin Breeder Directory (link in my sig line) and then contact them directly for availability.

Thank you. When I said standard bantam I meant bantam birds that meet the Standards of Perfection. Sorry for the poor wording.
And we don't want all those varieties, those are just that colors we are most interested in. We would be happy to get any right now.

I did email Cochin Coop, thank you.

My boys and I have quite a mix of birds but have decided to focus on cochins. However, we can't find any locally that are not hatchery birds.

Good to have you back! My blue girl I got from you is growing up to be a beauty - in my eyes anyway - and quite a character. She's not laying yet, but I'm in no hurry.

Your buff boy is a looker! I'm glad you got one to replace the one you lost. All girls, huh?

My Brahma hen went broody and I let her sit on 7 eggs I got from HenThymes. 5 bantam orps and 2 cochins. Neither of the cochins made it

but three of the orps hatched - all buff. They are 4 weeks and I'm pretty sure only one is a pullet, so I didn't exactly get the same ratio you did.

We don't have any or many (?) bantam orps around this area, so I'm hoping someone will be eager to bring the breed/variety here and I'll be able to re-home them easily, if I'm correct.

I still love me some cochins too! I hope you'll be posting more photos of yours now that school is back in.

These little guys are now available -- such handsome little men. (Why are the drop dead gorgeous one's always the boys?) They hatched 3 June 2011 and are just beginning to crow. They are calm as can be -- easy to handle, nice to have around -- except in my area where roosters are not especially welcome.
