Good for your daughter for hanging in there and wanting to continue to show. Hopefully if she continues to get good judges she will learn something new with each and every show. Best of luck to her!

hummmmmmmmmmmm...........what color are her eyes?
She's not that bad for a Partridge hen as far as round goes. She won't win against Blacks and Whites, but then nothing does.

Looking at the feathering on the wing you have a pullet along with the comb.

She's very cute to me. As far as her type she appears to maybe still be a project type bird. But, if nothing else it's great to get feedback from the judge. Sounds like the judge took alot of pride in judging this show and teaching as they went along. Not all judges are like that. Glad to see the kids getting involved and you could look at it as a learning experience

Did she do the showmanship?
Quote:

No, she didn't do showmanship. It was our very first show and we didn't know what to expect. Our new breeding pair we bought a few weeks ago are looking better every day. They are maturing and rounding up nicely. We have our second show in Nov, we want to take our new roo and see what the judges think of him. Well she has a project ahead of her to improve on what she has. We will need to add in another line next year to ensure genetic diversity any way, so we will have to look for stock to improve on what we have. Lisa

Some things I think everyone should consider for holiday gifts for the 4-H members in their family:

1) Either the APA or ABA Standard, or both

2) Membership in either the APA or ABA, or both

3) Membership in Cochins International

4) Subscription to Poultry Press

Heck, these would be great gifts for anyone - not just for 4-H'ers!!
