They are all so beautiful and I adore the photo of the two together. It looks like she is helping with her make up. So precious! You are a great photographer. It seems you know how to capture their personality and lives. I am sure it must be from spending so much time out with them.

Evelle how sweet. So glad you rescued them. Your daughter is so cute too.
O watch for the mites again in a couple of weeks. I have experience with the northern fowl mite and they can come back if you dont keep checking and reapplying insecticide, or whatever you are using.
I had gotten some chickens from someone that had mites and I didnt see any on them when I introduced them to my flock. Then about a month later they were s all over the place. For a few months I had to bathe the chickens every two weeks and cleaned their coop with bleach and applyed Eprinex on. What a nightmare that was. I am now very diligent about checking for mites all the time.

O another note what happened in Zannesville? I read through but didnt understand what happened there.

Some guy in Zanesville that had a sort of rescue refuge for wild exotic animals (lions, tigers, wolves, bears, etc) let them all loose and then killed himself. I guess there were about 50 set loose - as of this morning police had shot and killed a couple dozen. The rest were still loose. I haven't caught up on the news during the day today.

Last I heard there is one monkey and one wolf(?) still on the loose but everything else has been taken care of. He supposedly was mad at his neighbors and that is why he did it. I can't believe that. I think I would take it on on the neighbors and not myself or the animals.

The article I last read said that there were originally 51 animals. 2 are still loose(monkey, wolf), but they cannot be sure that is really all.

The "5 living animals" are being taken to the Columbus Zoo by Jack Hanna. That is almost 4 dozen animals dead because of one man's actions.

Ok, back to cochins for me. The source of my current addiction(mottleds) is above me ^^^^
