well,
do you have any idea how far off that is from Kingsport tn? i'm not familiar. If it's not too far i wouldn't mind going.

Looks like Newport is about an hour and a half from Kingsport, give or take. You may want to MapQuest from your address to the fairgrounds address to narrow it down, though. It may not actually be that far.

From Kingsport it should be roughly an hour. Not bad!

They'll also have the kids showing their poultry as well as the general poultry show. This will be my first 'official' poultry show. My other experience was with the TVA Fair. I'm really looking forward to it!!

You know I LOOKED for this fair online this week and couldn't find a listing anywhere. Fuss.

Taking Dharma there would serve him right!!! Little demon. He's a tad freaked out by the huge new digs but I'm sure he'll be up to his old stuff by Monday.

I showed them all the one pop-hole to the little yard today and a few gave it a brief try. They're still figuring out they can move quite a ways upward if they're persistent. Puddle and Starbuck have gotten the highest so far.

I ran out and grabbed just some small holed plastic fence to cover any tiny gaps his Royal Idiocy might try to cram himself into out there. At least the trouble he'll get into now is miring himself in soft plastic net.

I'm getting birds Friday and Monday. I don't think I'd best try and hit the fair...

Too many as it is lol. Hugs all...

I'M GOING!!

I've been waiting for months! i want last year and got a GREAT birchen cochin roo! I'm hopin to get some birds this year too!!

I might sell too, any idea how much to put up a stand? (I just want an excuse to stay all day!)

I'm not sure how much it is to put up a stand.
I know those who show can sell birds at no extra cost so there's obviously some cost for those strictly there to sell.

I'm looking forward to seeing lots of poultry people all at one time. Doesn't sound like very many local BYC folks will be there.

It would be a heck of a road trip. But you could see chickens, then visit Dollywood (they just decorated for Christmas)...​
