Cockerel with potential infection

It's SO hard when we don't know exactly what's wrong! We try everything that we can to help them & sometimes we just can't fix whatever is wrong.

That's why we just love 'em the best we can, treat them right and help them thru to the other side when it's time. Good news is that while people have to earn their way in, Heaven is FILLED with chickens!!! Honey, they don't call it Paradise for nothin'! Salty is making new friends already!

Thanks, all! Here is Salty, in happier times, which is how I will remember him.

After having my mom look at him (retired nurse), we decided to end his suffering. Went through the full day of antibiotics, and the top of his head was so distended that the skin had actually become thin and white.
We gave him a clean, swift death. Thank you to everyone who helped, super grateful.
:hugs I'm sorry for your loss.

So strange.
Condolences on the loss and Kudos on the hard but good call.
