Hey @sharron I only have chickens myself we retired to 3/4 an acre the best garage around and lots of room for our dogs and chickens
we have 5 acres up north and used to raise wool sheep, then we discovered hair sheep, when we finally got rid of the sheep(husband got where he didn't want to clean barn) we just had my chickens, then he missed the sheep but decided to go with goats, had them for awhile and yes, we lost triplets , all billys one time but when we retired we sold everything in order to be snow birds and winter in my home state, florida now we just have my chickens and four kine-kune pigs (his) son's taking care of the pigs and my chickens are boarded out with a friend, two dogs, the bulldog and a schipperke and a African grey that come with us

Meg, so sorry about the still born calf.

Finally got caught up. I think. I'm still sitting around pouting over my lost filling and its implications. Oh well, who needs canines anyway?

I used to have one person on the 'ignore' list. Got really ticked off at them. Kept them on ignore until my red headed genes settled down and paroled them. But they are still on parole....and no nobody here on the coffee club. ;)

We just had the funniest thing happen. We had the cattle dogs in the hobby room playing with them and all of a sudden, Varn looked at Diesel and started growling at him. Diesel hadn't done anything to him at all. Just looked at him. I told dh to grab Diesel and I grabbed Varn and proceeded to calm Varn (who's a little hot head) down. They grumbled and postured at one another and then suddenly stopped so we let them go. They walked by one another, Diesel turned around and looked at Varn and BAM! They were at it. The other dogs ran for cover. We were trying to grab collars, they were like two Tasmanian Devils going at it, fur flying, snarling teeth flashing, their food bowl went flying, DH grabbed a broom and I grabbed a snow shovel and we managed to get them between them and push them apart.

The minute they were apart, it stopped like turning off a switch. I got Diesel calmed down, DH got Varn calmed down and then they were fine with one another.

Males....sometimes you just wonder about em.

Yep, sour, I know. Funny thing is with these guys is that they turn it on and off like a switch. One moment they are fine with one another and playing together and the next minute it sounds like they are trying to kill one another. Nobody gets hurts...so far. The girls will get cross with one another but no big conflicts, it's just the silly males. The vet thinks they are still settling into their dominance rolls.

Geeze I hope he's right.
