She sleeps in a cage at night so the bigger ones are not so hard on her. She has a small pen outside.

Morning, all!

Popping in and out today as it is Yard Day and I've got weeds aplently. Luckily the monsoon flow delivered a shower last night and so everything is easy to pull out of the ground. Crab grass is abounding. I enjoy weeding about as much as I enjoy cleaning house.

Is your dirt hard clay? We used to live in Colorado and I remember the dirt was really tough to get weeds out of. Especially bind weed rambling through prickly pear cactus!

No. Our location is predominantly sand because we're slightly above the river flood plain. On the other side of the acequias (irrigation ditches running lateral from the Rio Grande) it is hard. But I'm on a well and in the dunes where you churn in all sorts of amendments and it still looks like sand.

The row beds tend to pick up the most weed seeds, not so much the raised beds. Crab grass, dandelions, goatshead (the worst) and lots and lots of spurge.

I have spent the last two weeks worrying about my washer. Had a load in and it started flashing "nd" (no drainage).

I was on the phone trying to find a Samsung Repairman. To my surprise I came to learn there is not a repairman in my area. I have cleaned the drain filter many times in the last three days. My husband and I worked on it yesterday and finally got it fixed last night.I'm still cleaning the filter after every three loads. That way I can keep it from plugging again hopefully.

I think Samsung should give a certificate for repairing a washer.
