Good afternoon club busy morning peeps are quiet .. high stress is peeps chirping to me
so morning making them comfortable again ..
Going to make sourdough English muffins for me they are raising now 6 cups flour 1 cornmeal
 
Crappy old stove needs to go. It never worked well and was a crummy brand BUT, the only one in the store narrow enough to fit where the original stove did. Well it was a bit wider and messed up the painted wall on one side. But, still....

I'm wondering how badly I need a stove. I can heat things up in the toaster oven or nuke the tv dinners in the microwave - :sick. . Oven was never calibrated right. It would burn the top of a cake yet, the inside was still all wet. It could only handle cookies and cupcakes because they weren't very dense. Don't really want/need that - nobody else around to eat them.

Mainly I only use the oven as a place to hide, cake pans, cookie sheets, pans that don't fit anywhere else.

When I first started riding the bus, I met Arline the chicken lady - which lead to me finding Backyard Chickens and as they say "the rest was history. She made me a gorgeous Orange(flavored) cake for my birthday with orange icing and mandarin orange pieces on top. Was fantastic. But my B-day was July- she threw a big fit how she was dying in her kitchen baking it for me. Never had a b-day cake make me feel so guilty.:hit

Aww what a jerk! I sure hope the cake was divine! My oven is on its last legs too. I can’t keep a light bulb in it and one time it got really hot and I couldn’t turn it off! Had to go shut off the breaker. DH did something I think, it’s still working but I don’t trust it.
