Coffee With Tink

I don't think they would do well out here in the desert where I live at.
What are the most common dogs in your area,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, besides Chihuahuas with short fur.
On another thought,,,,,,,, coyotes have long fur,,,,, and don't seem to be deterred from 100*F climates:idunno

It seems like most dog's around here are mixes of pittbulls. Yes, there's a lot of those Chihuahua's, and those mini poodle looking type thing's. I don't want a small dog, but I don't care much for pitt's neither. The dog that I have now is a mix of Rotti and Lab. He was a big enough dog, and had short enough fur.

Are they full grown collies or are they shelties? I can't really tell how tall they are (and the doll size is just throwing me off :lau ).

Haha!! The doll is the size of a bear... but no worries. Joking! :lau
They are Shelties. Sammie, the one on the left in the pictures, is a large Sheltie, and Charlie was supposed to be medium but grew the same size. :)

Collies are a beautiful breed, but with that long fur on them I don't think they would do well out here in the desert where I live at. So, I will just admire yours!

I can certainly understand- they do prefer Autumn and early Winter much better than the warmer months. Especially my older Sheltie... he gets very excited and doesn't want to go back inside when the ground is just cool enough!
Thank you!

Lab mixes are wonderful dogs! I haven't kept one- but have met very good ones.

We had a Pitt mix briefly. Wonderful dog...smart, friendly, loved to play! When we moved from FL to WY, we couldn't bring him (we live in company housing so it was a 'no'). Found him a great home with our mail lady who was already in love with him :)

Buster look's mostly rotti as far as coloring goes, but you can still see lab in the body. He love's eating dill pickles and raw carrot's.

Our last dog we had before Buster was Fetish. She was one of those staffie mixes. She was a pretty good old girl. Cancer got her and we had to have her put down.

That's the worst part of having any pet :hit

The best dog I ever had was a Westie. Loved that girl! She lived until about 14 yrs old but by then, her eyesight was gone, her hearing was going and she started having seizures that kept getting progressively worse. It was so hard to lose her.
